ONLINE PSYCHOLOGICALÂ THERAPY

At present I am currently offering online sessions only. Online therapy has become increasingly popular over the last few years amidst the covid-19 pandemic, and for good reason. There have been a number of studies into the effectiveness of online therapy and it has been found to be at least as effective as face-to-face sessions.
Here are some of the benefits of online therapy compared to traditional in-person therapy:
Convenience: Fitting therapy into an already busy schedule without needing to find additional time to commute. ​
Therapy from the comfort of your own your own home - for some it may feel easier to open up from the comfort of their own home. It may feel much less daunting than sitting across a clinic room.
Flexibility: Online therapy offers more flexibility in terms of scheduling. Clients can schedule appointments around their work and personal obligations, and therapists can offer more flexible scheduling options.
You can even continue with sessions when you may be away from home (in some cases this is also possible when abroad) so they can be great for those who travel a lot for work, or perhaps live across different areas such as university students.
Accessibility: Online therapy makes mental health services more accessible to individuals who live in remote or rural areas, have transportation limitations or are unable to access in-person services due to disability or illness
Freedom: Having more freedom to find the right therapist for you no matter where you may be based in the UK
Reduced Stigma: Many individuals may feel uncomfortable seeking in-person therapy due to social stigma which unfortunately still exists around mental health. Online therapy allows clients to receive support in a more private a discrete manner.
Starting therapy can feel a daunting task, and online therapy can take away additional stress from the experience, with therapy being only a few clicks away.​
